Skulls and Florals

Sometimes it may be difficult to find summery clothing with a flair for the dark side but this year we’ve made a selection of good-looking garments in gorgeous prints filled with both florals and skulls.  

Aura Print

The Aura print has an interesting, hand drawn, inky illustration appearance to it. It comes in the options of both teal/white and black/white in either the Aura Crop Top or Aura Mini Dress.

  

Aura Crop Top

Crops tops are simply cute, fun and cool when it comes to summer and look great with anything high waisted really. The Aura top is so light and airy with non-lined chiffon fabric, cropped loose fit and thin spaghetti straps. The top comes in the sizes XS-XL.

Aura Mini Dress

The absolutely adorable Aura Mini Dress is also made of chiffon, fully lined with a fitted bodice and spaghetti straps. The garment has a zip fastening on the back, flared skirt with gathering from the waist and lovely chiffon frill detail on the hem of the skirt. Available in sizes XS-XL.

Scullion & Heretic Print

This dark print is one with ornate imagery and a decorative background layered with white/grey roses, skulls and butterflies.

Scullion Blouse

This gothic blouse has a Victorian styled shape - short puff sleeves, high neck collar, and luscious black lace panel on the chest. Like most of our new pieces, the Scullion Blouse is made from chiffon fabric with no lining, a very flattering semi fitted body design and button fastening running down the centre front of the garment. It’s out now in sizes XS-4XL.

Scullion Mini Dress

This darling Scullion Mini is a baby doll styled dress with a low scoop neckline, short puff sleeves and under bust seam with an A-line flared skirt. This design suits the print so well with the stunning decorative brooch on the front of an ornate cameo on a big black bow to bring the look together perfectly. You can buy the dress is sizes XS-4XL.

Heretic Mini Dress

While the last dress has the cuter vibe, if you want something a little more badass the Heretic Mini Dress is the one for you. A mini skater dress with thick adjustable straps that crossover at the back and have wonderful strap detailing over the front chest with the shiny silver buckles. The dress is made in a comfy stretchy fabric with a back zip fastening and it comes in sizes XS-XL.

Morgan Print

The magnificent Morgan Print has a black background covered in vibrant pink and purple flowers with black and white skulls hidden amongst them.

Morgan Top

The Morgan Top puts a pretty spin on the basic vest top block with its sheer printed chiffon on the front, plain black back panel and black delicate lace side panels. It’s available in sizes XS-4XL.

Morgan Mini Dress

This lil number is a fully lined chiffon, A-line shaped dress with a flared hem. As you can never have too much lace, we’ve given the garment black lace panels along the chest and scoop back as well as light lace trims on the sleeves and skirts hem. The Morgan Mini Dress comes in sizes XS-XL with a back zip fastening.

Morgan Kimono

We adore the Morgan Kimono, it’s so elegant and floaty and ideal to layer over swimwear and vests. The chiffon open kimono top has ¾ sleeves with black plaited tassels along the hem and the bottom of the arms. We also have the same kimono available in plain black in a version called the Asuna Kimono – both are available in sizes XS-4XL.

Morgan Swimsuit

One of our many new pieces of swimwear we’ve released this summer is our Morgan Swimsuit, a straight strap swimsuit with moulded under wired cups, gathering over the bust, adjustable straps with a hook clasp at the back and daring open back. It’s comes in sizes XS-4XL.

Morgan Bikini

Our Morgan print also comes in bikini form (- the top and pants are sold separately) in sizes XS-XL. The halter neck tie bikini top has underwire and moulded cups with a black hook clasp fastening. The brief shaped pants have adjustable gaging details on the hips that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing.

The Autumn/Winter 2014/2015 Spin Doctor range is out!

The Autumn/Winter Spin Doctor collection is still available, filled with glorious, gothic garments designed to perfection. All a mixture of graceful silhouettes that can be mixed and matched with each other for every occasion due to the marvelous beauty of them being in black.

Lorena Pencil Skirt   

 Both the elegant Lorena Top and Pencil Skirt come in sizes XS-4XL. They’re made from sleek satin cotton accessorized with intricately detailed bronze brooches that are removable if you please. The addition of the lovely lace trimmings and black bows make a special touch to an already gorgeous set.

The Lorena Bolero is made all in a luscious black velvet effect fabric with the running theme of removable brooches. It has beautifully sculpted sleeves and a faux leather strap with an ornate buckle to tie it all together into one wonderful statement piece. This comes in sizes XS-XL.

The above three items come in sizes XS-4XL. All made in cotton satin with

stunning lace trims, artfully placed beaded jewelry and ruby red brooches, again with the option of being removable therefore making you able to dress it up or down. Either way, these pieces are truly to die for!

Zylphia Top

The Zylphia top’s unique design comes in sizes XS-XL. Made from Nylon boning, it’s cropped over the bust joined together at the front with a classic corset lace up detail and dainty lace trims. Its detachable brooch and beaded jewelry in addition to the rest make such a small item of clothing give a big impressive impact when worn.

Aurelie Top 

The devine Aurelie Top comes in sizes XS-4XL, made in a comfortable yet fashionable stretchy, jersey fabric with a layered lace detailing on the chest. Not only does it have the exquisite front removable cameo brooch, when you turn around, the fabric drapes perfectly down from the corset tied back. The mixture of lace and ribbon is such a bewitchingly powerful combination that this garment clearly demonstrates.

 Prudence Blouse

Both of these breath-taking blouses are made from stretch fabric with a dainty button fastening along the spine of the back. The Prudence Blouse shows the immaculate allurement of lace but if you want a more subtle elegance than the Melrose blouse is the option to pick- a similar design but in simple black lightweight fabric to emphasize the lovely silhouette of the design. Both come in sizes XS-4XL.

Celeste Pencil Skirt

The impeccably fitted Celeste Pencil Skirt comes in sizes XL-4XL with flared lace end detailing and beaded and bow accessories draped on the back.

Darcia Blouse

Another magnificent blouse we've released is the Darcia Blouse made from a soft, light-weight fabric, available in sizes XS-4XL. The lace cut-outs over the shoulders put a modern twist on a classic look alongside the fabulous large bow collar and sleeves.

Spin Doctor Spring/Summer New collection!

We're excited to begin the launch of the Spring Summer collection for Spin Doctor with the stunning Pentagram print series. Inspired by the dark arts, the print features skulls, pentagrams, hands and occult symbols for a new twist on the Spin Doctor style. 

The first two dresses are available in shops any day now, and feature faux leather harnesses and straps with buckles. The first style is called the Pentagram mini dress, and features a unique back detail with faux leather straps lacing through rings to form a pentagram shape. The front has a bronze buckle detail and fasten with a bronze zip.

The second in the collection is longer dress with shoulder straps, faux leather strap detail on the sides with bronze coloured buckles and bronze zip in the back of the dress to fasten. Watch this space for more additions to this collection, with several more pieces to come soon!

New items-Autumn Winter 2013/14

We've had a great season at Spin Doctor, with some exciting new developments! We introduced our new plus size range, with much of the season's selection now available from a size XS to 4XL, and expanding on our previous style to bring in some new style direction!

Pinstripe collection

We really loved the brown and black stripes from last season, but also had some call for similar items in black and white. So we decided to bring out a few favourites in black and white pinstripe. The first being our Octavia bolero and coordination Octavia pencil skirt. With faux leather straps and oxy silver buckles and buttons, we think it's a great addition to a steampunk wardrobe, weather worn together, or with black items as we styled the Octavia bolero, we think it looks great. The gathered sleeve head on the Octavia bolero gives a great Neo-Victorian inspired silhouette. Our 3rd item in this collection is the Agatha jacket, from our previous Amanda jacket in brown and black stripes, we love the dramatic shape of the low/high hem with matching bow in the back. The collection is made from stretch pinstripe twill and hugs the figure beautifully.

 New tops, shirts and skirts!

 We wanted to bring in some everyday, easy to wear pieces into this collection and thought jersey was a great way to do this. Comfortable yet striking designs which could be worn in an everyday setting.
The first is our Iona top, with keyhole cutout in the back, and contast cream lace yoke.

And next is the Tymore top. Again from stretch black jersey, it incorporates a black lace collar and yoke with cut out detail at the front. The cameo is attached to the top, or can be removed if required. A simple black lace trim down the centre of the top and cute cap sleeves.

And for the more extravagent occasion, we designed some gorgeous shirts to see you through the winter months.Inspired by Edwardian times and ssing swiss dot lace, and beautiful black faceted buttons, the Lavelle shirt is a favourite.

 Our lovely Virginia shirt was another strong design which we all loved. With ruffle trims, and a sumptuous self fabric bow to tie at the front of the shirt, it will answer all of your steampunk and gothic dreams.

Lastly we love the Eleanor skirt, as s beautiful accomplice to the shirts and tops. Two layers of black cotton lining with swiss dot mesh make up this deliciously dark piece.

Spin Doctor Autumn/Winter 2013-14 - And introducing the new plus size range!

We're excited to unveil the Autumn/Winter 2013-14 lookbook for Spin Doctor.

We had so much fun creating these looks for you this season, with some great props and a fantastic photographer Terry Mendoza

Looking to Edwardian times, we researched styles from 1900-1910 and put our signature modern twist on them. Utilising swiss dot mesh, black lace, velvet trims and cotton poplins, alongside jersey and cream lace. We accessorised the collection with pocket watches, little lace gloves and statement crosses.

We had lots of fun with our photographer, who brought along some great props, skulls, old sewing machines, vintage umbrellas, packing crates and even a raven to sit with the Nevermore dress !!

Our lovely models did us proud and did a great job of getting all spooky for the shoot, Betsy Rose looking like a porcelain Edwardian doll! We loved the round framed glasses and lace up boots that our model Yazzmin wore for this shot.

The Nevermore dress, inspired by Mr. Poe himself, with attention to detail features beautiful glass look faced buttons, lace sleeves and black velvet trim. We teamed it up with some great lace up boots and a top hat. Taking the steampunk look in a completely new direction for the season.

Spin Doctor adds new sizes to the range!

We are also excited to announce, after much demand, that our new range now features sizes from an XS up to a 4XL and we wanted to reflect this in our new lookbook. Much of the collection is available in all sizes, you can find out which pieces are available on our facebook page. 

We absolutely love the Iona top modelled by the gorgeous turquoise haired beauty Zoe Melissa Mae and the Eleanor skirt modelled by flame haired beauty Litha Bacchi !
