New Mythical Collection!

This year’s new print has a dark mythical magic to it with a distressed effect background covered in illustrated mythical creatures such as Pegasus, Cerberus, Mermaids, Dragons, Unicorn skulls, all scattered around with stars and type. Such a beautifully detailed print that we have used in all our following garments, which one will you pick? 

Karis Mini Dress

One of the summer staple items is the must have cute mini dress and the Karis Mini Dress comes in sizes XS-4XL. Made from a comfy stretch polyester with two large straps, a flared skater skirt and classic lace up detail on the front of the chest.

  

Karis Mini Skirt

This fine variation is a high-waist flared mini skirt with black contrasting decorative zips on the side panels. It too is made from stretch polyester and comes in sizes XS-XL.

Evadine Mini Dress

The Evadine Mini Dress modern yet elegant design with a swing dress block, deep scoop sides and

V-neck lace up detail on the front with adjustable straps. The mysterious aesthetic is formed through its black ombre chiffon fading into the printed boarder at the bottom. It’s made from chiffon lined with polyester and available in sizes XS-XL.

Evadine Maxi Dress

Make a bolder, dramatic impact with the Evadine Maxi Dress with its flowing long maxi skirt, sheer flared sleeves and V-neck fitted bodice. This chiffon garment is fully lined in polyester with a zip fastening and comes in XS-4XL.

Evadine Maxi Skirt

The Maxi skirt may serve a more versatile option for some with a fitted waist, gathering and full length, partly lined skirt with a zip fastening at the back. This skirt can easily be dressed up or down but either way will look divine. Get it in sizes XS-4XL.

Demetria Blouse

The Demetria is designed as a semi fitted blouse with stunning ruffle detail all along the chest and cuffs with small bishop sleeves and a tie bow on the neck. Made from black chiffon with no lining in sizes XS-4XL, it’s a luxurious looking piece and is reminiscent of gorgeous Victorian blouses we gain inspiration from.

Elizabella Dress

Another beckoning beauty of a dress is the following Elizabella Dress. With its flattering fitted bodice covered in decorative chest detailing, dainty lace straps, lace panels and gathering on the full voluminous maxi skirt with a zip fastening on the back. It’s hard not to feel like a powerful dark enchantress when wearing this and we love it! Available in sizes XS-XL.

Asuna Kimono

If you’ve got your holiday booked and your swimwear ready, the Asuna Kimono is the perfect addition to your wardrobe to chill out by the pool in. The kimono is made from black chiffon with black tassels and is out in sizes XS-4XL.

New Altaira Collection!

We have a new Raven inspired collection coming out this spring/summer over at Spin Doctor all in a freshly designed most magnificent print.  All pieces have a black stretch lining (excluding the Altaira Blouse) and are made from elegant chiffon fabric covered in spooky spider webs, vintage clock cogs, skulls, soaring ravens, tree branches and filigree shapes. 

 Altaira Maxi Dress

The Altaria Maxi Dress really shows off the artistic aspect of the print with it's long draped skirt and front slit. The dress has a centre back zip fastening, fake leather waist belt and crossover back straps with antique silver buckles and rings. It's available in sizes XXS-XL.

Altaira Mini Dress

 The bewitchingly beautiful Altaira Mini Dress  comes in sizes XXS-XL and has a flared skater skirt with a lovely fitted bodice and zip fastening. It you love attention to detail this garment has fake statement leather straps with antique silver metal trims and decorative crossover straps at the back.

 Altaira Maxi Skirt

This mysterious piece comes in sizes XXS-4XL and is a long flowing draped skirt with a front slit and fake leather waist belt. The Altaira Maxi Skirt has a well hidden zip fastening and can be worn in the summer with a cute crop top or in the colder seasons with a sleek jacket.

Altaira Blouse

The Altaira Blouse is another new charming separate we have in this print. It's a button up blouse with black netted mesh detail on the upper chest and short sleeves. To make it even more enchanting, at the back of this garment, it flares at the waist which graduates down longer down the back. This is a one of a kind blouse and is available in sizes XS-4XL (camisole not included).

We couldn't resist sharing some of these beautiful shots we captured for our Autumn/Winter 2012-13 photoshoot this year, aren't they stunning? We had the honour of working with a fantastic photographer and models and got some great images of our brown and black striped steampunk inspired range!

We loved styling this range, and thing it works so well with a steampunk top hat and those ripped fishnets just give it a bit of a punky twist, keeping the look fresh and exciting!

Autumn/Winter 2012-13 collection!

So, we know you've all be waiting with baited breath for the new Spin Doctor collection!! 

We've started to unveil it in all it's neoVictorian, Steampunk and gothic wonder over at the facebook page, and here's the first instalment!!

Following on from the popularity of some of last winter's shirts, we have the Cardinal shirt, with back lacing detail to cinch in the waist at the back, black ribbon and lace details on the bust and sleeves, pintucking on the bust, covered buttons, puff sleeves...got to love this one!!

Next up is the beautiful 30's inspired Ariana dress, with black lace mesh detail (double layered) and gathered mesh over the centre of the dress and sleeves, stunning open back fastening with a button and zip and bow detail. Such a great dress for a special occasion or party.

We loved the Ariana dress so much, we also made a skirt in the same style. Looks beautiful with the Cardinal shirt, or add your own top for a different style.Made from an easy to wear, stretch mesh and lining fabric, with gathered mesh at the centre back and front of the skirt. Cute bow detail to finish the back.

Behind the scenes-Autumn/Winter 2012-13

We've been really busy here at Spin Doctor, getting ready for Autumn/Winter 2012-13.  If you're wondering why we're thinking about autumn already, then you might be surprised to learn, we were preparing for this autumn, around a year ago.

We start to work on Spin Doctor collections a year in advance of the time they hit the shops. It's a long and rewarding process, and the photoshoot is the last step before we get on the road and start showing the collection to our stockists.

The photoshoot has grown in recent years to include a large team, including stylists, hair stylists, make up artists, photographers and assistants, as well as the Spin Doctor team. The shoots are long days for everyone involved, but the end result is always exciting after a year of developing the collection!!

This time at Spin Doctor, we took a new direction for the collection from previous seasons, and we hope you'll all be excited with the results! Here's a few sneak peeks of what's to come!  

Spin Doctor crop top anyone ;) Shooting the skirts always requires a cropped shot to show the skirt alone, so the models end up having some dubious fashion statements while we capture this!!

We know you're all going to love the Sherlock stripes collection, can't be giving it away though just yet, here's a cheeky picture of our model getting some last minute adjustments.
